Freed, Sandra, Charles, Sophie, Bill & Laura had a great conversation at our WP Buffalo breakfast at Caffe Aroma in Buffalo. Among other things we discussed:
- Getting back into building websites after years away
- Password security – when and how to share passwords
- Volunteering our services to organizations as support
- Using virtual assistants to maintain sites
- Freelance business growing to the point of needing assistance
- Using AI conversational models to study
- The evolution of computer banking systems
- Handwriting vs typing and how our brains work
- Keyboard configurations for efficiency and language
- The Buffalo Cafe Passport
- Charles has been using the beta version of Divi 5 and said it just flies. It has a Migrator function that will work automatically in the end of Feb. Charles had migrated a simple site and the transmission was smooth.
- Connecting with local peers for advice and support
- How to facilitate clients adding posts or content to their sites as simply and thoroughly add possible
- Web dev packages for set prices
- Linking Google and other calendars so they feed into a site
- Setting up as a consultant via LinkedIn
- Whether or not to pay for LinkedIn Premium
- Malwarebytes
- Phishing via WhatsApp
The Original Pancake House has been a warm, cozy meeting place on Elmwood for over 20 years where you can “indulge in delightful dishes, sip on quality brews, and immerse yourself in the welcoming atmosphere”. Check them out!
Interested in meeting us for one of our breakfast meetups? We meed bi-weekly throughout the year normally on Wednesday or Thursday. Times change based on the host’s availability, and we try to hit a new spot regularly. We’ve been doing this for two years now, however, so we’re re-visiting some of our favorites. If you have a coffee shop or a part of WNY you’d like to meet in, message Freed on LinkedIn and let’s arrange it!
Check out our calendar of events!
