WP Buffalo is the online home of the Buffalo WordPress Users Meetup Group. We share a interest in WordPress and use it to power many of our own sites. Whether you’re a beginner or a expert, we’re here to expand the WordPress footprint in WNY & help educate others on the WordPress Platform.
We currently have two regular Meetups
- Via Zoom the third Thursday of each month, and
- In-person bi-weekly on Thursday mornings at venues with coffee around WNY

- A Q&A bit for any questions any users have, answered by the rest of the group
- A Main Topic for the Evening – Suggestions are welcomed for future dates

Our typical Thursday morning coffee meetup is way less formatted
We usually talk about WordPress. Or maybe about freelancing. Or maybe client communications.
Whatever we discuss, we enjoy coffee, tea, and eats while we get ready for our day and build community.

About the Group
We’re a very relaxed group of people who love to hear everyone’s opinions. Our goal is to share information among both the Novice and Advanced users of WordPress.
Our Meetup group is built by and for our members. Getting involved is as easy as showing up to a meetup and sharing your thoughts.
We are always looking for suggestions of topics. If you’re looking to get more information on a specific topic related to WordPress, let us know. We also love to have members share their thoughts and present to the meetup group if they’re comfortable doing that. Contact us and we can get you set up if that is of interest.
We also have a Slack chat team that everyone is encouraged to join to discuss anything WordPress and even things only somewhat related to WordPress.

Our History
The idea for the Group was the collaboration of Andy Staple & Ben Dunkle. Both Andy and Ben had been to WordCamps before and both thought that there was a real need for something in Buffalo that also shows the power and flexibility of WordPress. Andy started the meetup.com group back in late 2009 and since then we’ve been steadily growing in numbers.
